New Friends

Today our family actually ventured out and made new friends! It was great fun, we had tasty food and Caroline was able to make a new friend (a boy even), which is great because when Mabel leaves she will have a total of zero. We all had a great time and Caroline was sad to leave. As we drove out of their driveway she said, "Bye friend." It doesn't sound like much but I thought it was really cute. I think she might have a little crush on her new friend.

Now that's love

So Caroline apparently loves ice cream so much she's even willing to eat it out of the trash can. Yes, the other day I caught her putting her hand in an empty carton of ice cream that had been thrown away and licking it. It was so nasty an funny at the same time. The best part was seeing her face when I asked what she was doing. Her face was covered in chocolate and she had a look of total innocence. I love having a toddler.

Third Times a Charm

Or at least I hope so because I'm sick of moving every year. Yes will be moving yet again this summer. For those who have lost track that's the third time in the last three years. Our apartment complex is remodeling and making everyone move out and raising rent. Since our apartment isn't even 900 sq. ft. my husband and I have decided that it's time to move on to greener pastures (or at least bigger). I have to say I think we have the worst luck in picking apartment complexes. Hopefully we'll be able to stay in the new place for the final 2 years of med school. I'm not getting my hopes up.

Birthday

Five reasons my birthday was great.
5. I went to the zoo with family and friends.
4. I got a call or a card from every member of my family that made me feel special.
3. My husband drove around for 2 hours finding me a delicious cake.
2. The cake was amazing.
1. I got to spend the whole day with my husband and kids.

I thought that with all of the choices being an Elmo toy people would get thrown off. Aparently not. The winner as most of you guessed is the Elmo cell phone, however she really does like the file folders.

No Candy

Yesterday morning after Caroline had eaten several eggs full of Easter candy Shawn and I decided it was time to put the candy away. Being the nice parents we are we let Caroline put it away herself. That might not have been the best idea. A few minutes after putting her candy away we were getting ready for church and heard Caroline running around. Shawn went to go investigate and found her on the opposite side of the room eating something. She looked at him and said, "No candy." He asked her if she was eating candy and she said, "yes." It turns out she was waiting for us to leave the room then ran and got candy then ran to the other side of the room thinking we would never know. Turns out we aren't that thick.

Spring Break

I'm sad to say that spring break has come to an end and so has my week of sleeping in and taking fun trips during nap time. This week went by way too fast. We went to the zoo, museum, park, garden center and to Target about 10 times. I think we did more this week than this entire year. It was so fun but I have to say I'm actually pretty exhausted. I think I'd like to take this next week and catch up on sleep but unfortunately I don't think that will work. So goodbye to the last spring break ever! I'll miss you but at least something better will take your place in the next years to come; VACATION!

Thanks to all who participated in our polls. The results are as follows: Caroline pronounces picture turpic and the first word (usually) she says when she wakes up is Mama. I see that most of you thought it was snack, and I'm sure it'll surprise you that she actually does like me more than food. I think she knows she needs me to get her food. More Cousins

So sometimes I forget to mention that Caca has more cousins on her dad's side. They are very fun and Caca can't wait to meet them. I think she'd get along great with her only boy cousin Evan. Just to get a little peek at his personality check out this link. Yup he's rock climbing up a 35 foot wall at a gym. And I thought Caroline has a lot of energy. Oh, and he's only 2 months older than Caroline.

Like Mother Like Daughter

A few days ago I realized I never take pictures of the girls when we go for our walks. Seeing as we go on LOTS of walks these days I decided to capture the exciting adventures that are our walks. B however was not so excited about this and when I started to take her picture she looked at me very seriously and said, "No pictures." It was the funniest thing because if anyone knows her mother you should know exactly where she gets that from. I managed to get some pictures of B and Caca despite their best efforts. I'll try to put some up but I'm pretty computer illiterate so I don't think it'll work.
