Happy Birthday Brother!

Yes I know its a day early but this is my only chance at a computer before your bday.
Here are my reasons why I love Brother!
1. When he laughs really hard its hard not to laugh with him. He has the best laugh of anyone I know.
2. He thinks potty words are funny, or did a few years ago.
3. He makes the best brisket I've ever had.
4. I don't think I've ever heard him say something mean about anyone else, he's literally the nicest person I know.
5.He programed me so well to lock the truck that I locked the keys in the car many times.

So Proud

Its time for a little cheese so if you don't have the stomach for it I suggest you skip this entry. I have the best husband in the world! Today he's taking STEP 1 for medical school so this post is dedicated to him. I don't know anyone who works as hard as he does or is as smart and I'd like to think I know some smart people. He is a great dad and wonderful husband. I am incredibly lucky to have him for a husband. I'm so proud of him and know he rocked the test! We love you and can't wait to celebrate! You're the best!

Father's Day

Happy Father's day a day late. Here are my reasons why my dad is a great dad.
1. He would play flip over tickle monster with us like it was going out of style.
2. He used to carry all of us upstairs like sacks of potatoes.
3. He made all the other kids at the pool wish their dad was as cool as mine.

Here are my reasons why Shawn is a great dad.
1. He has WAY more patience with our kids than me.
2. He loves to cuddle with our kids lets Caroline stay up late when she cuddles.
3. He's always coming up with fun things to do with the kids and getting them really excited about it even if its just going to get the mail.

The Name Game

While I was looking up friends blogs I came across something that I thought I'd like to try. There is a website where you can check to see how many people have your same name. I was pretty excited because only 23 people in the U.S. have my same name! I may not be one of a kind in name but I'm only 22 off , not bad. Oh and thanks for letting me steal your post Sharon!

Things I learned

Here are some of the many things I learned while in Utah.
1. You cannot go on a "vacation" with 2 kids and no husband.
2. Mom needs a watch, or someone else besides me to tell her what time it is. (see below for better explanation.)
3. Caroline can live off of juice and ice cream if need be.
4. I really like my hair short, at least with this haircut.
5. My family is really nice for helping me out with my kids.
6. I have a love-hate relationship with the dry climate.
7. Shady really can pull off all her crazy ideas.
8. Devin loves his blanket more than anything.
9. Caroline and Devin now have an opinion about everything.
10. I am extremely tired and need a real vacation, preferably with Shawn and no kids.

*At least twice a day mom asked what time it was or said, "Well, I don't know what time it is..."

Highlights of Utah

Devin playing on the trampoline which he loved!

Seeing one of my best friends from high school.
There are more pictures to come, for some reason none of the wedding pictures posted. Don't worry Shady seeing you get married was the best part of the trip.

Love in my tummy!

This past week it has been quite hectic around here. Between helping out with Mabel and Annie, visiting teaching and Shawn's night class we haven't seen much of each other this week. Friday night Shawn decided to do something special because he's nice and brought home Blue Bell Moo Tracks ice cream! It made my whole week and tastes SO good. I have the best husband ever!

Sorry.

Sorry to all those people I chastised for not keeping their blog up better because I just realized that everyone but me has posted something new this week. Shame on me. Not much is going on here. I'm just trying to get ready for Utah. Oh but if anyone has suggestions on how I should get my hair cut please let me know.
