Chocolate
I finally figured out why my mom loves chocolate so much. My kids have been less than pleasant today. We were over at a friends house and had to leave because Caroline was throwing such a big fit and hitting me. Then once she finally calmed down at home Devin decided to start whining, crying about how he had wanted to put the crackers on the table himself and in the process spilled half of them on the table/floor. Its like they were playing tag with who can throw the biggest fit. That's when I thought. "wow I really need some chocolate right now." And then I thought of my mom who had six kids and her love of chocolate. And I'm sure it is somehow related to the fact that I'm sure we were pretty awful some days and chocolate made it just a little better. I"m pretty sure by the time I'm done having kids I'm going to love it even more than her. It really does make me feel better. And in case you were wondering Graham totally wins the favorite child award for the day.

Sweet Freedom
Shawn's vacation has started a little early. He was released from his calling as Elders Quorum President yesterday. I'm really excited to have a husband again on Sundays to help out because usually by the time I get to church I'm not right spiritual mind to be there. We've also decided on a moving date. Shawn will be leaving May 31st and I'll be leaving with the kids the following day. I haven't really thought about moving too much because when I do I start crying. I'm very excited though and a healthy amount of sad, that's good right? Anyways, Graham is getting bigger everyday and is now rolling around everywhere. He's also starting to sit up and trying to crawl. It makes me sad how fast he's growing up. Now Shawn really does have all of May off. No calling or work, wahoo! We're excited to have lots of family time before he goes off to be a doctor and abandons us.

Cuties
Yes that is a picture of three smiling children above! This is literally the first time I've been able to pull it off. Mainly because Graham used to be terrified of Caroline and Devin, now he generally thinks they're funny. I swear these guys get more adorable everyday so it makes all the crying, fighting, and whining worth it. Well usually.

Pictures!
Match Day! What a great day!
Wow two posts in one week, I haven't done that in a long time. Here are some pictures of all the fun we've been having in the past few weeks.Devin LOVED having things of cotton candy, what's funny is he really didn't eat much of it!
Devin did pretty well with the horseshoe game. I know he's like a foot away but hey he's 2.
We love cousins! And cotton candy.
Devin and Annie hunting for eggs.
These girls are best friends!
This is the best picture I got of Caroline she was far to busy to stop for a picture!
Devin deciding to go down the big slide a discovery green. He's a brave kid at the park I was impressed.
I think that pretty much catches us up on the events of the past weeks. Its great to have so much family around and we're really going to miss them in Tennessee.

I give up
I've been waiting and waiting to post about Easter weekend because I wanted to post pictures but too bad. I can't find the right cord to the computer and if I don't do it today it'll never happen. Last weekend was great. Saturday we spent the majority of the day out in Katy for Asher's birthday party. The kids had a blast eating cotton candy, playing with cousins, eating tons of chips, and playing lots of other games. Sunday I was the worst mom ever and didn't do a single thing for Easter. I know I'm awful. I guess I was preoccupied with buying a house I totally dropped the ball. Thank goodness family came to the rescue and my parents put on a great Easter egg hunt and Bethy had everyone over for a tasty dinner. And I figured we bought our kids a house for Easter instead of candy so I guess we're ok. In other Funky news Devin needs new glasses because his prescription isn't strong enough, great. I'm just glad that we'll have vision insurance soon enough because this kid is getting pricey! Just kidding. Well I've finally posted about the week and once I find the cord I'll post pictures too.

Home Sweet Home
I haven't posted about our trip to Nashville yet because we didn't want to get our hopes up about the house we wanted. Well we signed a binding contract today so we officially have a house to move into when we move. We absolutely LOVE it. It is in a fabulous neighborhood on a cul-de-sac, close to grocery stores and the elementary (which is fantastic) and still close enough to Vanderbilt that Shawn won't spend all his free time in the car. A few things I discovered about Nashville while we were there are...
1. I think people there think it's a huge city and it's big but coming from Houston it feels so small! (and we really just stayed in one part of town)
2. I have never seen so many churches in all my life! All different kinds too we saw Greek Orthodox, Methodist, Presbyterian, Korean Presbyterian, Catholic. You name it they probably have a church for it!
3. The subdivisions are a little weird. Its different than here where you drive in one and have only one way out. There are random ranches all around too.
4. I'm going to have to be more organized with my shopping because there isn't a grocery store on every corner. There are about 4 all within 2 miles of each other, thank goodness we live close to them.
5. It really is pretty there! The only tree that was in bloom was the dogwood but wow they are pretty and once the other trees start to bloom the drive from our house to the freeway will be gorgeous!
6. The people there are SO friendly. I've already been emailed by people from church and Vanderbilt.
We are very excited to be moving there so anyone who needs a place to stay and is in the area give us a call!
