My Heroes

Personally I think these guys are way better looking than the real superheroes.  And I guess Devin is Ironbatman but hey whatever.  Graham went to a superhero party on Saturday and had a blast.  He actually didn't want to go at first because he wanted to go with Caroline and Devin to the soccer game but then I told him there would be a bouncy house at the party and he stopped crying immediately.  I'm glad to see he has his priorities straight.
Before I forget about these I wanted to give a little update on how Graham is doing with potty training. To sum it up he is fully off the diaper.  Its awesome, and he absolutely LOVES being a big kid.  One night at dinner Devin had given him a toddler fork (you know a plastic one) and Graham stood up on his chair held up his fork and said,"Hey, I not a baby I wear underwear I want a big kid fork."  We about died laughing because at the time I'm pretty sure he was just wearing underwear and a t-shirt.
Don't ever call him a baby.  I've made his mistake several times and he gives me the meanest look he can, which I think still pretty stinking cute and says, "HEY I NOT A BABY I A BIG KID!"
Then one night when I was putting him to bed and giving him kisses I told him I can't stop and gave him about 20 kisses on his cheeks.  Apparently he thought it was funny and now when he gives me kisses good night in a slightly crazed voice he says, "I just can't stop." and gives me a ton of kisses.  It may be my favorite thing ever. So this really turned into a post about Graham but he sometimes gets the shaft around here so its only fair he gets his own post every once and awhile. He is the CUTEST little thing and even though he thinks he's a big kid he's still such a little baby to me!

Soccer season 5

I can't believe this is Caroline's 5th season in soccer.  This year is a lot different for her.  She is now in the U7 league (how did that happen?!) so she plays on a bigger field, her coaches are no longer allowed on the field, and that's it but it really did seem a lot different trust me!  Her team had a great first game even though they were really tired (due to the bigger field) and at times had no clue what they were doing (due to no coaches on the field).  It was really fun to see all her friends again and we can't wait until next week. Devin had a great first week as well and had lots of fun running around with his friends.  Sometimes he enjoys just looking around and other times he does really well and pays attention, I like it when he does that way more.

Caroline's team doing their pre-game pep talk.

She is almost always the one to do the goal kicks which she loves.

I think Devin was more interested in talking to me at this point.

Go Devin!

Christmas in August

I got an early Christmas present this weekend.  Its probably the coolest present I've ever gotten.  We bought me a bike.  Maybe it sounds like I'm 5 years old but I'm really excited so much so that I actually jumped up and down a little. I took it out for a short little ride last night and had a blast.  I'm really glad we didn't wait until Christmas to get one because now I have several more months to use it!  Shawn always comes up with great gifts ideas but this one just takes the cake.  I can't wait to go out again!  I feel very spoiled and am going to have think of something really good to get him for Christmas now.

Isn't it pretty?  Now just imagine me saying in a sing-song voice, I LOVE it!

New Specs

To keep the excitement of school starting we decided Caroline could pick out some new glasses.  Her old ones are over 2 years old and the pair that used to be pink are now silver because all the coloring has been rubbed off and the red pair are missing one of the ear pieces.  So it was time.  She had so much fun picking them out and even though she knew which ones she wanted when we walked in she still tried on about 10 pairs.  She's a girl, that's for sure.  Its kind of hard to tell but the sides of her glasses can flip around and show a different design.  She LOVES that.

I think she gets prettier every day!

Olympics

I LOVE the Olympics!   I could watch just about everything, well not water polo (snooze) but just about everything else is awesome.  I just wanted to write down a few thoughts about this year.
1. Is it just me or do the distance runners look emaciated?  Really people eat some food please I promise it won't slow you down too much!  You make me hungry just looking at you!
2. While I love gymnastics I really hate all the stupid rules they have.  In Shawn's opinion its not a real sport because you don't earn points it's people judging you.  I still watch and still get way too nervous when the girls almost fall off the beam or step our of bounds.  Oh and will Tim Daggett please shut up!  I can't stand his commentating!
3. Volleyball may be surpassing my love of gymnastics!  I have really loved watching indoor and beach volleyball.  I wish I could play like them for just a day and I wouldn't mind being that tall and lean either!
4. I kind of think its hilarious to see the sprinters run so fast that the skin on their face can barely keep up, its the only part of their bodies that isn't completely ripped so I guess it just bounces around a lot.
By far my favorite part of the Olympics this year was letting Caroline stay up late to watch beach volley ball and eat pretzels dipped in chocolate peanut butter yumminess.  I can't wait for Rio 2016, its going to be a party at my place!

I can do this!

Somedays I think there is no way we can have more kids, I'm way too tired, and emotionally drained to do this again someday.  Then on days like today I think I can do this, I'm not crazy for wanting more kids eventually.  It was a pretty normal day we just went to Target and got things for Devin to start preschool so we made some big purchases like crayons, glue sticks, oh and a new shirt that was $3 so he thought he was hot stuff.  When we got home he was so cute and said, "I can't believe we got me things today." and then about 10 minutes later said,"I can't take the smile off my face today."  I almost cried because he was so grateful for the the small little things he got today.  He made my day great and reminded me how awesome it is to be a mom.

I love these cuties!
