Inducing Labor
For those of you that don't know what it means to be induced into labor (Fernash) let me tell you how it goes. First you go up to the desk and say hey I'd like to have my baby today. Well really you say I am scheduled to be induced today and then sit in the waiting room for a while until they get your room ready. This process is much faster if your sister is the chief ob resident like mine! Then you get to the room and they start you on some drugs to get labor going. This goes on for a few hours, not minutes as once previously thought by Fernash. You then get an epidural if you have any sense at all and wait until you are fully dilated and push out the baby. Pushing can also take a while especially if you had only a 5 lb baby first and the second is 3 lbs bigger. My sister can testify to that considering she waited about 45 minutes until the head was ready to be delivered. Sorry I tried my best. Needless to say this is an all day process so the next time someone you know is being induced don't expect a call an hour after they go into the hospital. It doesn't usually work that way, at least not for me!

I thought the stork dropped him off
I am so lost
Don't blame Ashley. That's pretty much how she came when I was induced with her. One minute I was 5 cm dilated, the next minute she came sliding out across the bed. She
just doesn't realize that she's a little unique.
sorry. i was just so excited for him to come play with me. i'll read up on inducing when i'm in that stage of life.
