Its offical

We have a home for the next two years! We signed the contract last night and are going to live in the wonderful condo for the next two years. Our landlords seem really nice and the condo is in very good condition. I"m so excited to have all the space we need for Caroline to run around and for me not to go crazy! We might even paint one of the rooms! I can't wait. If anyone wants to come stay with us feel free; we finally have room for visitors. (However you'll probably still have to sleep on the couch.)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY!

Happy Birthday to the best mommy in the world! Here are my top 10 reasons why I love Mom.
10. Because she's the bomb! (and lets us be dorky and call her that)
9. She tried running the day after she broke her tailbone. (way to go Fernash)
8. She taught me how to make all the yummy treats I make now and how to fix any mistakes
while making them.
7. She had the patience to teach me how to bake even when I was less than nice.
6. She gives me advice on how to take care of a crazy two year old whenever I need it.
5. She taught me to never passes up a good deal on candy and when to get them.
4. She knows every single primary song ever written and about 1000 more children's songs about trains, flowers, bees. You name it she knows it.
3. She lets me call her all the time and talk about nothing when I don't have much going on (which is a lot)
2. She helped me after having my kids for as long as I needed.
1. She taught me how to be a good mom and loves me despite my shortcomings.

My Favorite Things

I just saw something funny that made me think of a list of my favorite things that either my kids, or Shawn does around here.
Shawn: I love when he's studying, listening to music and singing a long and occasionally bobbing his head to the beat. Its quite funny. I always love when he lets me sleep in and gets Caroline breakfast.
Caroline: I love when she puts her hands on my cheeks and gives me a big fat kiss. I love when she asks me "mommy happy?"
Devin: I love when he's eating then stops every few seconds to look up and smile at me. (sometimes it would be nice if he just ate though) I also love how funny he thinks Caroline is. He loves to laugh at his sister.
I really love when I post on my blog that I want people to post more often and they listen! It makes me feel good. Thanks for humoring me!

Blogs

I've noticed lately that no one looks at my blog anymore and some people are not updating their blogs as frequently as I would like. I would really appreciate if everyone would help keep me entertained by updating their blogs more often, and there is no excuse for not having anything to write. I'm at home all day and find stuff to write about. If anyone leads a less than adventurous life its me so lets all do me a favor and get back to blogging. Oh and please look at mine it makes my day when people comment on it! If anyone would like to see more pictures of Caroline and Devin go here.

The Power of Prayer

Sometimes it amazes me how quickly prayers are answered. Today as we sat down to dinner we asked for help in finding a new place to live, little did I know that we'd almost close a deal a few hours later. After dinner I started looking yet again online for places to live and found the most wonderful place only about an hour after it had been posted. I emailed the person as fast as I could and after a few emails we're going to check out the place this weekend. Its 2 bed 2 1/2 bath 1400 sq ft, wood floors downstairs, real tile in the kitchen and bathrooms, big kitchen, private small patio, community pool, covered parking, washer and dryer, within our budget, and ward boundaries. We couldn't find a better place! I am so excited and really hope we get it. The tiny set back is they'd like us to move in a little before we'd like but if we like what we see this weekend we're taking it! I AM SO EXCITED! I really hope it works out! Needless to say we're going to keep praying on this one!

Wanna Trade?

Shawn and Caroline like to play a game that I like to call "lets see if we can loose daddy's wedding ring" Really what happens is that Shawn pretends to hide his ring behind Caroline's ear and then find it. She gets a kick out of it and its good daddy daughter time. I didn't mind it until about a week ago Shawn let Caroline play with his ring and she tried to trade it for a gummy bear. Needless to say we've put and end to the game. The lesson learned; never expect a 2 year old to pass up a chance to get gummy bears.
