Only 6 days left!
I can't believe Shawn will be home in 6 days! We are so excited to see him. I don't think the kids are going to let him out of their sight for a while. While we were driving today Caroline said to me, "I want daddy to come home and not leave again." Me too! This past weeks have actually gone by pretty fast due to all the visitors we've had. So Thanks again to Poodle, Grandma Funk and Reed and Ashley for helping me out these past two months. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to make it this last week with all the help I've had. And thanks to anyone who has watched my kids for an hour or two, had us over for dinner or to play we really loved all the help! I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, although I"m pretty sure we've got a few more to go through this year. At least Shawn will be here for those!

Already?
Today I think Caroline finally realized that at one point mommy and daddy didn't have any kids. I know its hard to believe seeing as we'll have three on our 5 year anniversary but really at one point in our marriage I wasn't pregnant, for example the first six months. Anyways we talked about getting married and having kids and I guess I should have seen the big question coming. Caroline asked me flat out, "Where do babies come from?" I was a little (well really) surprised that she asked because she's THREE not ten THREE. So as quickly as I could I came up with, "Mommies and daddies make babies and they grow in mommy's tummy." Thankfully she was happy with my most basic explanation but I thought I had a few more years to think of something better to say. Wow parenthood is interesting!

What to do?
Today may very well be the most boring day Shawn is gone. Its raining outside and Saturday so most people are actually spending time together as a family. Since my family doesn't have that luxury its up to me to entertain the kids all day without just sitting them in front of the tv. Yikes. I think I'm going to throw caution to the wind and go get some sort of fun craft for them to do, or maybe just go look at toys for fun. Wild I know. So far they have just played in their room, but that is rapidly coming to an end. Wish me luck! And I know my entries have been VERY boring lately sorry, but it turns out we're pretty boring people!

I'm an aunt, again!
Happy Birthday to Leah Bluebonnet Peterson! From the way she came into this world I'm sure she's going to be a handful, and just as beautiful as her other sisters. Congratulations Bethy and Brandon. Next up on the baby roll is Lindsey, my mom is going to love the next few months!

Problem Solved!
Yesterday was a great day! After exhausting all of my efforts to find a new phone I was quite ready to give up. I decided as a last resort to just ask around at church and sure enough some wonderful friends were more than happy to give me their old phone! So now I'm back able to communicate with people in more effective ways than just posting on my blog. Thank you Lauren for the phone you really saved me!

New Do
I finally got my hair cut after 9 long months. I was really brave and went for bangs, kind of. I loved it at first and now I just kind of like it. Anyways it was so nice being out on my own and getting a neck massage while having my hair washed. I thought my whole body was going numb it felt so good. In other news I'm almost done with Halloween projects.
This is Devin's so far. I just need to finish the chaps which should take about 10 minutes. Ok a little longer but not much.
Here is the princess dress I was so nervous about making. It was way easier than I thought and turned out great except it could fit an 8 yr old. So instead Caroline is going to be a cheerleader which I need to start. Hopefully it won't take long either. She picked green of all colors so I guess she wants to be like me and wear my high school colors. We are also SO happy to have Grandma Funk here to help out. It's so nice having company and extra hands around to help with the little crazy people around here. Oh and I can't wait for dessert group this month. Its not until the 22nd but I've decided to make cannolies!!! I can't wait! They are going to be awesome!
