My little sister had a sweet baby boy today and I couldn't help but think back to when I had Devin. To me our deliveries seemed somewhat similar.
Her second baby was a boy just like mine.
She also has a little girl like me.
Her baby boy was only 2 ounces bigger than Devin.
She had the world's best ob/gyn deliver her like me.
Well that's it. Congratulations to Shady and Brandon and thanks for bringing back some of my favorite memories. Boys are awesome, you are going to have so much fun! I can't wait to meet him!

Christmas Break
We started Christmas break off with a bang today. Caroline had a half day at school so afterwards we had a few kids over and baked gingerbread cookies. Then after all the friends went home I decided to go ahead and do some caroling tonight since we may not be able to do our usual Christmas Eve caroling this year. So we visited a few friends and then went to the new Chick-fil-a for dinner. The kids were in heaven and after I had my chicken club I was doing just fine too. Ok so maybe it was a a pretty boring day for most people but to my kids it was the best day ever! Christmas is going to be awesome this year, I can't wait!

Chatter Box
Sometimes I wish I could wear ear plugs during the day. My children LOVE to talk. Particularly Caroline right now. I don't think she can go 30 seconds without hearing the sound of her voice. Maybe she's always been this way and I've just gotten used to how quiet the boys are when she's at school. Needless to say its a rude awakening when the weekend comes and she's home all day. Its gotten so bad that I've had to tell her, "You not allowed to talk until you put on clothes, or brush your teeth, or pick up your shoes." She gets so carried away talking she completely forgets what I asked her to do. Its really kind of funny but at the same time it would be great if I didn't have to remind her 10000 times to do something. Then again life would be way too easy if that happened and I've decided life isn't supposed to be easy and that's ok.

Potty Training?
Graham does not like being little, at all. In fact he thinks he's much bigger than he really is. I think this is why he gets into so much trouble. He loves getting food out of the pantry, doesn't like naps, and will pretty much do anything himself if I don't get to it fast enough. His latest attempt at being big is going poop on the potty. Twice this week when Caroline and Devin have needed to use the bathroom Graham has decided to give it a try and he's actually done stuff! He seems to know what he's doing too, he doesn't just sit there he really tries. Now I'm not saying he's going to be potty trained anytime soon because lets face it he can't even say his name let alone communicate his need to relieve himself. But for now I'll indulge his desire to go potty like the big kids and just maybe I'll have a few less poppy diapers to change!

Good Grief!
These children are crazy. I need to write down some things they have done so I can remember how nuts they are!
Graham-mischivious doesn't even begin to describe this boy. Recently he has locked Devin in their closet, broke some ornaments, ripped through two different cereal boxes (it looks like animals went after them), and some how found more paint to get on the carpet. He's a busy boy.
Caroline- she is going to have ulcers if she keeps stressing out this much about school. Today she told me she doesn't really like school so after some talking she finally told me why. She's afraid to get answers wrong. Seriously? Kindergarten shouldn't be this stressful. And I've been to her class its not bad she just wants to be the best at EVERYTHING and never be wrong.
Devin-thank goodness I have one child that isn't crazy right now. He is so good and sweet and easy going. He loves preschool, sleeping, and pretending to be a superhero. I love it. I"m sure in about a month or two he'll be acting crazy and the other two will be good but right now he's SO GOOD!

Sad tale
Sleep has not been easy to come by in this house lately. Devin has a stomach bug and up at 5 almost every morning this week to go to the bathroom and has woken up Graham, and me in the process. They also have colds and have been up a few times at night. Last night Graham was having trouble going back to sleep so Shawn being the great husband that he is decided he would go calm Graham down so I could try and sleep. Instead of going back to sleep Graham freaked out and then spent the next 5 minutes screaming "mama". I heard his door open but didn't see him come into my room and his screams kept getting fainter and fainter. So I went downstairs and found Graham bawling wandering around downstairs looking for me. It was the saddest thing I have ever seen, well half seen because I didn't have glasses or contacts on. My poor, sick, baby boy.
