So this weekend we have a dinner at church and I signed up to make a dessert for the dessert auction. I have a few ideas but I really want to make something yummy that everyone would want. Sorry but I"m pretty vain when it comes to cooking and I want everyone to want my dessert. So here are some of the ideas I have, please tell me which one sounds the best, I love having input!
1. cupcakes with creme filling
2. pie (fruit or chocolate)
3. eclairs (I don't know if I have the energy but we'll see)
4. cheesecake (plain)
5. turtle brownies
6. brownie trifle
7. chocolate mouse

Carrie I remember back in the day for mine and a few others birthdays you made this super yummy red cake, or something like that dessert. It had either strawberries or raspberries in it. I know i should remember more about it if I loved it so much, but I find myself thinking about it on random days all the time! It was amazing...so if you know what I'm talking about... you should do that! All of our friends loved it too!
All your ideas sound yummy. Not to outdo you or anything (I'm sure I won't), but I'm bringing a homemade ding dong.. I think. Really it is just a chocolate cake with whip cream all through the middle and then covered with chocolate frosting. I will make it in a Bundt pan. Simple, but oh so good!
I think your turtle brownies are the best! Remember when you gave the policemen that came to our house some when our alarm went off and they came back an hour later asking for the recipe?
They all look good but I vote for the Turtle Brownies. Thanks for the cheesecake recipe! Could I get the Turtle Brownie one too? :) Yum! You are such a good cook!
I love your turtle brownies. Sometimes I miss them so much that I wish I were still in high school and that you could bake for me all the time. Creme-filled cupcakes sound good too-- everyone will want those.

I vote for the trifle, even though I'm not exactly sure what that is. But it sounds fancy & I'm sure everyone will be envious of your mad skills!
Carrie, you are the best baker I have ever known, all will turn out great.. I made cookies for the first time in forever a couple months back and just ate the dough.. so who knows.. how they would of turned out.
