Home Sweet Home

I haven't posted about our trip to Nashville yet because we didn't want to get our hopes up about the house we wanted.  Well we signed a binding contract today so we officially have a house to move into when we move.  We absolutely LOVE it.  It is in a fabulous neighborhood on a cul-de-sac, close to grocery stores and the elementary (which is fantastic) and still close enough to Vanderbilt that Shawn won't spend all his free time in the car.  A few things I discovered about Nashville while we were there are...
1. I think people there think it's a huge city and it's big but coming from Houston it feels so small! (and we really just stayed in one part of town)
2. I have never seen so many churches in all my life!  All different kinds too we saw Greek Orthodox, Methodist, Presbyterian, Korean Presbyterian, Catholic.  You name it they probably have a church for it!
3. The subdivisions are a little weird.  Its different than here where you drive in one and have only one way out.  There are random ranches all around too.
4. I'm going to have to be more organized with my shopping because there isn't a grocery store on every corner.  There are about 4 all within 2 miles of each other, thank goodness we live close to them.
5. It really is pretty there!  The only tree that was in bloom was the dogwood but wow they are pretty and once the other trees start to bloom the drive from our house to the freeway will be gorgeous!
6.  The people there are SO friendly.  I've already been emailed by people from church and Vanderbilt.
