Its Christmas Eve Eve so naturally its time to start the traditional baking of caroling treats! I love it! This is the best time of year. I get a little stressed with the huge mess and about 100 trips to the store but its worth it. We actually got started yesterday and had some of Caroline's friends over to decorate gingerbread cookies. The kids had a lot of fun and the cookies turned out great. Today I started on eclairs and made nut goodie bars, yum! The kids are very excited to pick a friend to carol too. I"m just glad they're starting to understand how awesome Christmas is. If only we had family here! We're lucky to be making some great friends though! Anyways here are a few pictures of cookie decorating.
Devin really got into decorating, well mostly making a pile of sprinkles.
Caroline did a great job decorating too and was a little neater than Devin.
Devin's face was only a few inches from his cookie the whole time, at one point you couldn't even see the cookie anymore.

THat's so cute that yall go caroling. I used to love doing that in YW.
It's nice to see our tradition (about the only one) still has life!!! And happy to see that you can let the kids enjoy making a mess!!
