Latest Project

The week I went down to Houston was also Shawn's week of vacation for the year.   He loves working with his hands and building things in his free time so on his first day of vacation he decided to start on bunk beds for the boys.  I was so happy about it because seeing Devin crawl into a crib for bed every night was making me feel like I had failed as a parent.  It turned out so great and I really LOVE that Shawn can build just about anything he wants to.  This is a huge change from how I grew up.  No offense dad.

Here it is almost put together.  

And the final product.  I love it!  

He fits much better on his bed now.  I'm pretty sure Graham could sleep on there too and he'd never know.

Graham can't ever be left out. 

This bed is so sturdy I think I could jump on it in all my pregnant glory and they'd be fine.  They are awesome, hopefully on his next vacation he can build the top an we can get that stupid crib out of the room.  Its a little cramped with that in there, but oh well. All I can say is, Shawn rocks!
