4th of July

Yup I'm behind again. I don't think anyone cares though!  I'm having a hard time wanting to blog, or really do anything these days.  Our 4th of July was awesome this year.  Caroline even woke up earlier than usual because she was so excited.  We started off the day with pancakes and bacon, yum!  Then the kids and I headed to our favorite 4th of July spot, the Pegram Parade.  We even saw the weinermobile, and Devin saw his kindergarten teacher.  Oh and did I mention the weather was incredible?  At one point I was actually cold, weird right?  I was 32 weeks pregnant in July and chilly, unheard of!   We got a nice shady spot under a tree talked with friends, and the kids loaded up with candy from the parade.  We spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out at home and then headed over to our friends for dinner, smores, and fireworks.  It was so fun.  They were even brave enough to set off some of the bigger fireworks.  The kids loved it and were so tired the next day they slept in until almost 8, which never happens around here.  I'm so glad we'll have one more 4th of July celebration here before we move, because some our best 4th of July's have been here!

Grabbing as much candy as possible!

The weinermobile!

They hand out some pretty random stuff at the parade, but the kids are always excited.

I can't tell you how often Graham makes this face.

Caroline roasting some marshmallows.

Now Devin's turn.

And we were even brave enough to let Graham have a turn.  As you can see he wasn't great at paying attention to it!

Devin enjoying his creation.

I don't know why Graham looks so sad in all these pictures, he really had a fun time.

Yes, Shawn even had the day off and it made the day infinitely better.

Caroline being very careful with her sparkler.

We had to follow Graham around so he didn't light anything on fire!
Not to sound to sappy but it really was a perfect day.  Brother and I do have big plans in the future though.  He's going to smoke a brisket and I'll cover desserts, it'll be amazing.  I can't wait.
