How I Saved $100
Its really a funny story. Today my visiting teachers came over today and one of them invited Caroline over to play. I jumped at the chance to have only one baby for the day and Caroline was quite literally jumping up and down at the thought of playing with anyone other than me. Well about an hour later we went out to get in the car and I realized I didn't have my keys but had locked the door. I have been told several times by Shawn not to lock it from the inside but did I listen no. Anyways, so I was stuck outside in 90+ degree weather with no way to get in the car or my house. I went to the front guard and asked him if he could help but seeing as we don't keep a key with him he couldn't but was nice and let us stay in the booth that has a/c. So I called my home teacher (who's wife happens to be my visiting teacher.) I usually just call Shawn but he's on call (no I don't know how to page him and he keeps his phone off) and I knew my home teacher was at home and is always willing to help. He came over slid a card though the door a few times and was able to unlock my door. So because of my home teacher I didn't have to spend $100 to call a lock smith to let me in. Really maybe I should have tried the card thing myself or listened to my husband. So now we have an activity for the night, making cookies for my home/visiting teacher.

i once lived in a place that had a door jam so loose that it was almost quicker to card than to use a key.
That's actually a little scary that anyone with a card could open your door.
Nice home teacher, by the way. He deserves Mighty Bex cookies!
I'd make sure you use a deadbolt as well.....
