This weekend we were lucky enough to get to see Shawn's parents. Since we only get to see them about twice a year its always very exciting when they come. Shawn was on call the night they came in but since they don't have enough beds for all the students he got to come home to sleep and see everyone. The next day was great. Sheri and I went on a shopping spree just the two of us and we had a blast. It was so nice to go into a store and not have to chase after kids. Thanks for taking me out Sheri and thanks to grandpa for watching the kids. Later we went to the children's museum which was really fun but the only thing Caroline wanted to do was paint her body. She's crazy. We then went home so the kids could have a MUCH needed nap and then out to dinner.
Sunday was great. I can't remember the last time I had Shawn there to help me and this week I had him and his parents which made for a very pleasant and quiet sacrament meeting. It was great. Church really can be rejuvenating when you don't have to wrangle two kids. We also made our yummy calzones and pizza bread for them.
Monday Caroline and Devin hung out with grandma and grandpa at their hotel while I went to get my ultrasound done. Everything looks great and its for sure a boy. I had actually forgot about my appointment until about 10:30 the night before and I sat up in bed and said, "I have my ultrasound tomorrow!" Opps, I guess that's what happens when you've done this a few times. It makes me appreciate having the grandparents around who were more than happy to fill in at the last minute. I'm really excited about this little boy. He doesn't move around as much as Devin (who never stopped) so its a welcome change. Anyways we also went to walk around the downtown tunnels. It was really cool, none of us had ever been so it was neat and much better than walking around in the heat above. We also spent lots of time talking, playing with the Wii Fit, coloring with grandma, playing hide and seek with grandpa and watching Devin take several naps on grandpa. It was a very relaxing weekend and Caroline cried when she found out they wouldn't be back today. Hopefully they'll be back for several months in January. We can't wait to see them again.

Wow! That sounds fun! But it's always MORE fun for the grandparents.
