Drama, drama

The other night when I was putting Caroline to bed she burst into tears because we hadn't done her reading lesson.  The conversation went a little like this.
Caroline:  "Mommy we have to do my lesson NOW!"
Me:  "Caroline I'm way too tired to do your lesson don't worry about it we'll just do it tomorrow and maybe  even do two."
Caroline:  "No we have to do it now."  (she's bawling at this point)
Me: "Settle down its not that big of deal.  What are you so sad about?"
Caroline:  "I"m going to forget everything unless we do my lesson now!"
Apparently she thought she was going to forget everything she had learned and would never know how to read unless we did her lesson at that very moment. Luckily I was able to calm her down by telling her that she wouldn't forget everything and most kids her age don't know how to read yet.  I'm glad she's so anxious to learn but wow she can be a bit dramatic at times!
