Book of Mormon Stories

Can I just say that I LOVE Devin.  For some reason right now just about everything he does melts my heart.  Today was no exception.  The primary presidency has asked the kids to start bringing their scriptures to church to start forming good habits.  Even the kids that don't read yet.  I was a little skeptical at first because I thought it would be a major distraction for them.  I couldn't have been more wrong.   Devin was SO much better in primary today.  He's never terrible but I've caught him shooting people a few times with air guns.  Anyways now his Book of Mormon Stories (that's what he calls the Book of Mormon he takes to church) are everywhere he goes.  He took them outside to play with (which I then told him is not how we respect a book of scripture), then up into the playroom and now they are right by him while he sleeps.  When we got home from church he sat down and told me to read them to him.  I picked a shorter chapter not thinking he'd be able to last through something as long as the parable of the olive tree but I was really surprised at how much he enjoyed it.  He sat quietly the entire time and didn't once shot someone with a make believe gun!  I even stopped and tried to put things more simply for him and he said, "Don't talk just keep reading."  It was the rudest/cutest thing ever.  He also went home teaching with Shawn today and when I suggested he take his scriptures he ran as fast as he could to get them and was an excellent companion according to Shawn.  He sat down looked at the pictures in the front of his scriptures and was very reverent. I just hope his enthusiasm for the scriptures continues.  Thank you awesome Primary leaders!
