Grocery shopping: a love hate relationship

I think I just scared my sister a little bit.  She called me right after going to the grocery store and I was NOT in a good mood.  That's how it has been with me and the grocery store lately I HATE IT!  I hate calculating in my head how much money I've spent while my kids drive me crazy getting in and out of the cart while they pretend to be secret agents.  Ok so maybe its kind of funny but it takes me so much longer when they do that!  I"m also beginning to loathe the stupid car carts because my 6 1/2 year old still occasionally wants to ride in them even though I tell her she's just too big and then there is sadness, and envy on her behalf.  I really don't want my kids to grow up too fast but I'm really looking forward to when Caroline can hold down the fort while I make a quick run to the store.  Unfortunately that's not for another 5 or 6 years.  Every once and a while I do love the store, like when I find Dove ice cream bars for buy one get one free and I have a $1 off coupon.  That's when I think to myself, "man I really love grocery shopping."  And then I buy 4 boxes.  What can I say I"m my mother's daughter.
