Hound Dog Run

Caroline's school had their annual fundraiser today.  Each child is supposed to go around collecting pledges for the school then they run for about 12 minutes on the day of the fundraiser ends in the Hound Dog Run.  And while we didn't go do to door because I think I made it pretty clear about how I feel about that stuff we did go run in the race with her and had a great time.  And we did support the school by buying popsicles after the race and I sponsored her myself so I'm not a total slacker as a parent.

Starting our on her first lap.  The boys and I joined her for the next one and then just me for the rest.  Devin tired out pretty quick.  I don't think running in PE will be his favorite thing next year.  Yet another thing we have in common.

Cooling down after the race.  It was kind of funny when I was running with Caroline she would sprint for a while then walk then sprint then walk, very little jogging.  Is anyone else not surprised that she's 100% or nothing even with running?  I think I should have read her The Tortoise and the Hare more when she was at home.  Oh well it was fun to race her through the other kids and I'm embarrassed to say she beat me most of the time!
