I'm sure that most of you have heard of the handy elf on the shelf book and stuffed elf. Well we don't have the book or the elf so I'm using a Christmas bear that I found today. So encase no one knows what I'm talking about I'll explain. I was reading someone's blog yesterday and to encourage their little girl to behave they placed the elf (Santa's helper) on a shelf and it helps Santa to know if the child has been good or bad. Caroline is by no means a bad child I just thought this would help remind her she needs to behave if she wants anything from Santa this year. I put it up today and she's taken to it pretty well. I think I'll have to come up with seasonal helpers for the rest of the year.

I'd never heard of the "elf on the shelf." Kids are always well-behaved during Christmastime
Great idea.... I may have to incorporate your idea into our family Christmas traditions. :)
