New Tradition

Seeing as Shawn likes to know what goes on while he's on call I thought I'd make this a tradition to post about our daddy free day every time he's on call. This morning was a blur. We took Shawn to school at about 7:30 came home and got ready for church. With two kids that both needed a bath it was a miracle we arrived on time. Then church, wow, it was about as spiritually uplifting as the circus with no husband, a toddler who thinks its funny to bite, and shorthanded on nursery workers. (why did they take all my nursery workers away?!) I don't really remember the ride home, I just needed some food to get my energy back up, oh and the kids to take a nap obviously. Turns out food and naps work miracles for cranky moms. The rest of the day has been great, laid back and stress free! I'm planning on starting a new dress for Caroline soon, so if you see her walking around in a dress that's misshapen don't make fun of her. Now its the beloved bedtime and I'm looking forward some much needed quiet time and reading. I do need some new books though, any suggestions?

I'm glad to hear that your Sunday turned out better. I felt so sad for you when I saw you in the foyer at the end of Saccrament meeting. Sorry I didn't try to help you. Some friend I am :(. You are a champ for being able to do church without Shawn. I'm glad things were good when you got home. In regards to a book, just an idea... we are reading The Poisonwood Bible for Book Club. You should come. We always have a lot of fun! Have a good day!

Is it bad that I think it's funny that your kid likes to bite? (Is it Devin or Caroline?)

What a good idea to post for Shawn. Sundays are always difficult. You really are amazing for being able to survive one without your husband!

Brian said you did an awesome job in nursery; that you were working so hard. There are a TON of kids in there. They really need to divide that class.

So what I get from reading this is a glimpse into my future when Daniel is in rotations and gone on Sunday. Great, that will be fun!
