Fun Week!
I've had one of the best weeks in a long time! The fun started Wednesday. A friend sent out an email asking if anyone wanted to go to the Rascal Flatts concert at the rodeo. At first I was a little nervous because I"m not used to being out all alone with just friends but decided it would be really fun and sure enough I had a blast. We were as high us as you can get and late but it really didn't matter it was just wonderful to get out without kids and just friends. Friday was fun too. I got to hang out with my mom and go shopping for the kids. We also went out to dinner and then over to my sisters house because she wanted to give me an early birthday present. Its the best present EVER. She got me Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking! I love them and spent a good part of the night reading them. I highly recommend them and can't wait to try stuff out. This morning was great. Shawn and I had high ambitions of going to the temple, woke up at 5:30 to go drove all the way up to the temple and turns out it was closed. I should have known it was closed because my mom had told me she was cleaning it this week. Anyways so we drove back and really enjoyed just talking on the there and back. We get credit for trying right? Actually I think Heavenly Father may just think we're not too bright for not checking online first. Better luck next time. The fun continued tonight at the chili cookoff at our church. I won an apron for the best cobbler and the kids won some Bluebell for being the best dressed kids. Quite a night for us. And is it cheesy that I was kind of excited my cobbler won? I know it was just hungry missionaries judging and the cornbread that won was from a mix but oh well. I can't wait to see how yummy Julia Child's desserts are! Anyways we've had a great week and next week is going to be awesome!

You absolutely get credit for trying. It's been so long since we've been that I feel like I need someone there with me to remind me what to do. Horrible.
Congratulations on the cobbler!! And I believe it after eating your desserts :)
The missionaries should know better than anyone. They're experts at sampling random food. Congrats!
Nice work on the contests! You should write a recipe book!! All your food sounds sooo good. You'll have to post your favorite recipes from your new cookbooks. Yum.
Congrats again on the cobbler! I was so excited when the missionaries gave me the results and I found out it was you. I wanted to keep one of those aprons for myself. :)
I had such a good time at the Rascal Flatts concert too.
Oh, and good luck tomorrow on Match Day! Exciting!
Opps, that last comment was from me... not Scott. :)
