Not Cool

This weekend is supposed to be great! My parents are visiting for the first time and we can't wait. Too bad everything went to pot last night. Caroline started feeling bad and about 10 minutes before soccer practice I took her temperature and it was 103. So no soccer for us. She was devastated. The only way I could convince her to stay home was to let her watch Princess and the Frog and eat ice cream. It turns out she has strep. It wouldn't be a big deal but if Devin gets it he can't have surgery on Monday. Thank goodness my mom was able to call something in for both kids in hopes that Caroline will feel better enough to have fun this weekend and Devin won't come down with it. Wish us luck!

Funky Sayings

When I asked Graham who was in charge today he raised his hand and said, "me"
As I was putting Graham down for a nap he looked up and said, "Me not tired EVER." Nice try.
On the way home from a mother/son activity I was asking Devin a few questions and I guess he had enough because he finally said, "Mommy can you not talk to me right now?"
When Shawn walked passed the kids coloring today he overheard Devin say, "I"m coloring a machine and it poops, and poops." Boys will be boys I guess.
Caroline says to me today, "How about we go shopping just the two of us while dad is on vegitation." Me, "You mean vacation?" Caroline, "Oops, yeah."
Yesterday Caroline asked if Graham was made of plastic. In response Devin said, "No he's made of boy."
As we were sitting down to enjoy some chocolate chips Devin said, "I like chocolate chips, they make me feel good."
Devin was in his room for a time out. When I opened the door to talk to him he ran over slammed the door in my face and said, "I'm not ready to talk yet." He's good at expressing his feelings.
A few days ago when I called Devin by his full name (Devin Michael) he looked at me and said, "No me Michael, me Devin." He's funny.
When I told Devin he needed to share his toy with Caroline he replied, "But I love it." Apparently he thought that meant he didn't have to share it. Sorry kid.
