The Woes of Being an Adult
This year has brought on a few more expenses than we thought we'd have. Eye surgery $$$$$, new tires on the car $$$, maintenance on the van $$$$, trip to the emergency room $$, payment for STEP 3 $$$, dental visits for the first time in years $$$, new glasses $$. I thought things were finally slowing down. It was really nice not to have to pay for some unplanned expense for the first time in months. Well that was two days ago and now we're looking at putting a new AC unit in the room above the garage because after 14 years the one that was put into the house when it was built just didn't have anymore to give. I figured since the unit is just for one room it would be pricey but I was not prepared for what I was about to be told. I just about fainted. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. We're having a few more people come and give estimates because I can't fathom spending that much on one stinking room. What makes matters worse is that our home warranty expired a month ago. Just great. I know they say you live and you learn, well we've been learning A LOT lately.

That sucks big time! I hate spending money on repairs.
Try craig's list. People who can do repairs will advertise and do it for much cheaper than a real shop.
I'd pay anything for an air conditioner. A true necessity!
Home ownership is not all it's cracked-up to be!!!
Oh man! That is really lousy. It's so true that life as an adult seems to equal lots of $$$$$$$$.
Yuck!! The time it takes is such a nuisance too. I hope the other people you bring out have better prices!!
