Date night

I had been looking forward to Saturday night all week.  With a short day for Shawn being 12 hours I was ready for a break from normal life and date night provided just that.  I was lucky to find a friend to watch the kids and we headed off to see Harry Potter.  I know a lot of people don't think going to movies is a good date but we love it!  Even if the movie is terrible we have a good time. What we really enjoy more than anything is the car ride to the theatre and back.  Its nice to sit and talk so we can recharge for the next exhausting week.  It did make me a little sad that the series is finally over.  Laugh if you want, but I love them.  They are fun to read and more than the books I love the memories associated with them.  For instance I'll always remember the family that got me into the books, the Baliffs.  I watched their kids for a weekend and they let me borrow the first book and we had a movie marathon and watched the first two movies that weekend.  It was really fun.  I remember going to the 4th, 5th and 6th movies being pregnant with my first second and third children and loving every second.  And probably my favorite memory is of the last book. I really wanted to get it but living the dirt poor medical student lives we dedided to wait and borrow it from someone instead.  Then the morning it came out Shawn ran out and bought it for me because he's sweet like that.  I can't wait to read these books with my kids!
