A Friendly Visit

Since living here I've discovered one of the great advantages of the location of Nashville.  Its about a 12-13 hr car ride from Houston so for any friends or family that travel to the north east or eastern areas of the US usually get to stop for a night at our place to rest.  I love it.  Even if its just for a night I love having friends and family stay with us.  This weekend our oldest (in years we've known not actual age) friends dropped by on there way back to Houston from their vacation with family.  Shawn has known Justin since high school and we when we ended up in the same ward in Wymount I got along great with Justin's wife so we pretty much spent every weekend playing cards and hanging out together.  Really most of my best memories from college involve playing cards in the tiny 500 sq ft apartment.  Then when we moved to Houston for Shawn to go to med school they moved to Houston for a job so we were able to spend another 4 years together.  Needless to say we had a great time with them this weekend.  It was like no time had passed and we picked up where we left off.  They really are our closest friends and we miss getting together with them.  Our kids played together while we played cards and we stayed up late talking, like 10 o'clock late I know party animals.  Well maybe Shawn and Justin fell asleep but it was still a great time.

And I had a really cute picture of all the kids together but my computer is dumb and doesn't know where they are.  So hopefully later.
