Soccer Star

Thursday was a very busy day for us.  Not only did Caroline start school but Devin started soccer.  He and Caroline have practice on Thursday nights one right after the other.  It makes for a long night but I prefer it that way.  Anyways Devin has been so excited to start soccer.  We went and bought him his cleats and shin guards on Wednesday and he wanted to wear them all day.  He has a great coach that started by teaching them how to stop the ball (genius) and had lots of other fun games to help them practice.  Devin loved every minute of it and did a lot better than I thought he would.  He has better gross motor skills than fine so soccer will be good for him.  I'm not saying he didn't have a few tumbles though, he is still my son and therefore clumsy.  He may have tripped over his feet a few times but he got right back up and kept playing.  I think I'm most excited that he seems to be coming out of his shell more.  He is talking to people more and being himself when we're out and about, I love it.

Going back for more.  I'm really excited for Devin and think soccer will be great for him.  Saturday mornings are going to be VERY busy.
