Mary Poppins
I have a confession, until last night I had never seen Mary Poppins. I know most people may think I had a horrible, sad childhood, but we watched more National Geographic and african lion movies than anything else. When my friend asked if I wanted to go see Mary Poppins the play I wasn't as excited to see the show as I was to just have a night out of the house. I must say though I was pleasantly surprised. I had a really good time and actually liked the show. The set was really cool, the costumes were beautiful, and at one point one of the actors was walking on the ceiling. It was pretty cool. And I had no idea "Let's go fly a Kite" came from that movie. I was also shocked to see how many little kids were there and behaved the whole time. I think the youngest I saw was about 3 but I didn't hear a peep out of anyone. It kind of made me want to take Caroline some time in the future. I think she'd really like it. I just don't know if I'd like how cranky she'd be the next day (I didn't get home until 11). Anyways I had a great time and I"m even willing to have a showing of the original movie with the kids.

I never watched Mary Poppins growing up either! I think I saw it once in college though before seeing the Broadway show. But the sets were what impressed me most about the show too, so cool!!
