My Bad
Somedays I feel like I am awesome at being a mom and want to post about it. This is not one of those moments. Monday I took Caroline into the doctor to see if she was having problems with athsma. Turns out she just had an ear infection which was causing her to cough all the time. Well the nice doctor checked out Graham too and sure enough he also had an ear infection in both ears. So we went home loaded down with amoxicillin and got the kids all set up with their meds. That night Devin would not stop screaming about his ear, I mean it was non stop bawling and waking up every hour. So being the awesome mom that I am I gave him some of Caroline's medicine thinking he has had this before he'll be fine. Well that blew up in my face. He woke up the next morning covered in hives. Oops! So we spent today in the dr. office for yet another ear infection and confessing I gave my child medicine that was not prescribed to him. The one noteworthy thing I did do was notice that they gave him the wrong medication so I did save him from getting more hives I guess. That counts for something, right?

I'm a horrible sister. This made me laugh really hard for 2 reasons:
1. Devin = You. You would scream ALL night with ear infections.
2. I'm sorry, but picturing Devin with hives is a funny picture.
Well how are you supposed to know that ear infection medicine wouldn't work on an ear infection?? I would have done the same thing.
Yeah, I would have done the same thing. You are a great mom.
I hate days like that Carrie. Sadly I have far too many and I think most Moms do. I hope all the ear infection madness will be over soon! Boss gets them all the time and it's NO fun to deal with. And anyway, you're one of the best Moms I know...so that's that. :)
I would have done exactly the same thing. Looong night. I hope you got a nap after all that. In my book you are 'Super Mom.' I don't know how you do it all, and a lot of it is on your own while Shawn is working. You're impressive.
