So most of January was spent not doing much it was a really boring month we just tried to stay warm! I"m so sick of cold weather! It's 45 degrees right now and sunny and this feels "warm" to me. That's just not right. I miss the sun! Anyways, January the only noteworthy thing was the opening of our new library. It is amazing. I remember when we first moved here I was so disappointed in the library, it was so tiny and story time seemed more like a fire hazard than anything else. So its really nice to have a proper community library.
Devin picking out some new books. I have never seen him so excited to get some new books.
Ok so this is one of the great things about the new library. It has this awesome place where kids can build with what look like giant foam tinker toys. Love it.
Then one day the boys and I made a little chocolate cake just the three of us. Note to self baking with children usually just ends up being breaking up arguments over who gets to stir and put in ingredients. It was a little exhausting, but fun, and yummy.
Graham enjoying some batter.
Oh and at one point that month Shawn and I went to Ryman Auditorium in downtown. Its a very famous concert venue and we were so excited to go. We were so disappointed! The show was really for the radio so there were commercials for Dollar General and Cracker Barrel. And then really old performers that my grandparents would recognize but not me. We left during intermission and got drinks at Sonic on the way home. Personally I think we made a wise decision. So FYI don't bother going to the Opry at the Ryman, wait for real performers to do a concert there.
