Papa

I think we may have discovered Devin's new best friend. Well not really new, but I"m surprised he remembers him. Grandpa Funk, is all Devin sees these days. Yesterday while at my sisters for dinner Devin walked up to her father-in-law and said, "papa." I had no clue why he thought he was a grandpa and then realized that he thought it was his grandpa. They have the same build and bald so naturally Devin thought it was Grandpa Funk. Today he saw another tall balding man and said, "papa." Its really pretty funny. I didn't think he would remember him since we haven't seen him in over a month but I"m sure he'll be thrilled when he sees the real "papa" in a few days. One thing is for sure, Grandpa Funk sure made lasting impression on our little boy.

Funky Sayings

When I asked Graham who was in charge today he raised his hand and said, "me"
As I was putting Graham down for a nap he looked up and said, "Me not tired EVER." Nice try.
On the way home from a mother/son activity I was asking Devin a few questions and I guess he had enough because he finally said, "Mommy can you not talk to me right now?"
When Shawn walked passed the kids coloring today he overheard Devin say, "I"m coloring a machine and it poops, and poops." Boys will be boys I guess.
Caroline says to me today, "How about we go shopping just the two of us while dad is on vegitation." Me, "You mean vacation?" Caroline, "Oops, yeah."
Yesterday Caroline asked if Graham was made of plastic. In response Devin said, "No he's made of boy."
As we were sitting down to enjoy some chocolate chips Devin said, "I like chocolate chips, they make me feel good."
Devin was in his room for a time out. When I opened the door to talk to him he ran over slammed the door in my face and said, "I'm not ready to talk yet." He's good at expressing his feelings.
A few days ago when I called Devin by his full name (Devin Michael) he looked at me and said, "No me Michael, me Devin." He's funny.
When I told Devin he needed to share his toy with Caroline he replied, "But I love it." Apparently he thought that meant he didn't have to share it. Sorry kid.
