She went from this tiny 5 lb baby
To this beautiful big 4 year old!
Yesterday was Caroline's favorite day of the year, her birthday. She was so excited to turn 4 and "grow bigger" as she says. It made me really sad that she's getting so big, so I tried not to think about how little she was when she was born but that didn't work and I cried like a baby anyways. She had a fabulous day. We did a friend party last year and since her birthday was the same day as playgroup we just brought cupcakes and she thought it was her party. Easiest party ever! She had a blast running around with friends and eating cupcakes. My parents came out and took us out to dinner which was so fun! The waiters sang her happy birthday and she got to eat as many tortilla chips as she wanted. She was in heaven. Then we came home opened presents and she went to bed without any objections because she was so tired. Today she's been playing with EVERYTHING she got but not for very long because she gets so excited about all her other things she gets distracted. She had a great day and is now talking about next year when she turns 5. That will be a sad day. We love Caroline and are so glad she came so early to join our family, there is no one like her.

i told my co-worker i called her to wish her a happy birthday and he asked "can kids talk at 4?" he's special.
She is so pretty! Yes, she was telling me all about how she's turning 5 next year. She's so funny. What a smart girl.

She is beautiful! I remember visiting her in the hospital when she was so teeny! Sweet Caroline....isn't that a song? It's made just for her.
Bummer that we missed the "party" at playgroup. Katherine has been having asthma lately so I didn't want her to get too hyped up at the park. I know she would have loved it! Happy Birthday to Caroline!
And she like dinner at Pappasitos better than the hot-dogs at Costco!!!
