The list is in!

Yesterday Shawn submitted his rank list for residency programs!  For those that don't know how this process works getting into a residency is no fun at all.  First you apply to lots of different programs all around the country and hope and pray some school will deem you worthy enough to interview.  Then you go on interviews to the various schools (which is payed for by your own generous self) and tell them how wonderful their program is and of course you would be more than thrilled to be accepted to the residency.  And of course you have to do this while your wonderful wife stays home with all the kids and holds down the fort at home. After interviewing you continue to play to each school's vanity and send them thank you's and sending emails to various people their asking questions about the programs and so on.  Finally you rank them in what order you like the schools.  This isn't the end though because at the same time they rank you.  So now we are just waiting to see how we matched up.  Needless to say is a VERY nerve wracking process and I can't wait for the next few weeks to be over!  We find out in less than a month!   Let the waiting begin!

Geology is much easier. If they like you they woo you. Much less stressful.

So what did Shawn rank as his top 3?

Wow! That's intense. We are waiting to see what Grad school we get in to, and we are stressed with that. So I can only IMAGINE how intense this wait will be for you guys! You have been a great wife supporting an intense career... but I know it will all pay off in the end! Good for you guys! We will be thinking about you. :)

Well, hopefully you guys get the school you want. What are your top choices?

And thanks for your comment. I am happy to hear they can sleep comfortably in there for four or five months. That is what I was hopeing for. :)
