Great Weekend

This weekend was fabulous!  My brother-in-law and his sister stayed with us Friday night and it was great to see family.  We really miss having them close.  The kids were very excited about seeing him but a bit disappointed that Mabel couldn't join her dad.  Our guests only stayed for a night, they were headed up to Michigan, but we still loved having them stop by, if only for a few hours.  Saturday Caroline had a jam packed day.  Soccer in the morning and a birthday party right afterwards.  She did great this game and took the ball down the field twice.  She even scored a goal, although it was for the wrong team.  And the opposing team was pink so it was easy to tell who wasn't on her team which resulted in her being much more aggressive.  She was really proud of herself.  After the game she said, "I got the ball a lot this time!"  We are going to work on direction this week, because she doesn't understand where to kick the ball.  She had a great time at the birthday party and on the way home she was really excited to share the candy from the pinata with Devin.  Caroline is a great big sister.  I mean really what four year old gets excited about sharing anything let alone candy.  What a champ!  Since Shawn had the weekend off as well we headed to Costco and ran into some friends from church and were able to hang out with them that night.  It was a great weekend, and I'm hoping we'll have more like that in the future!
