Chores

The other day before my parents came into town I was giving the kids a bath and realized I really needed to scrub the tub. I was not happy about it since its my least favorite chore to do.  My nice hubby decided he would do if for me and I was very grateful.  I'm pretty sure he just wanted me to stop whining.  Anyways when Caroline saw what Shawn was doing she looked at me and said, "It sure looks like  dad is doing all your work mom."  I was a little upset at this comment and gave Caroline a look of disapproval and after that she said, " Well I mean not all of your work just some of it."  I quickly informed her that scrubbing tubs is not my work and I just do it because dad does not have the time to.  Maybe someday she'll understand how it feels to have your kids think all you do is clean bathrooms and wipe bums.
